Bids to ‘stop mandatory vaccination’ will need a better argument than the time-worn mercury scare-mongering, supported by an image of a cute baby!
FDA’s 2014 comment follows: “Since 2001, no new vaccine licensed by FDA for use in children has contained thimerosal and all vaccines routinely recommended by CDC for children younger than 6 years of age have been thimerosal-free, or contain only trace amounts of thimerosal, except for some formulations of influenza vaccine. Sep 9, 2014.  Nor has thimerosal been used in Australia since 2000.
That’s not to say that there are no issues with vaccination – but to be credible, I think we need to move on from mercury. What seems to be a serious issue needing investigation is the virtually routine use of paracetamol (acetaminophen) prior to and after vaccination. Newer evidence shows that parents are lulled into a false sense of security by the ‘It’s only Panadol’ maxim. The drug depletes glutathione and gene variants for GSH synthesis exist!  Some children carrying these gene variants for glutathione may be at grater risk!
In Cuba where vaccination rates have paralleled  those in the U.S., autism is less prevalent. In Cuba, ‘preventive’ Panadol treatment of fever associated with vaccination is not practised and the children do not receive paracetamol. Flashing red lights?  It should be!
